Kiwi Pro - built specifically for kiwifruit farmers.

Tailored specifically for superior comfort in canopy work.

In such a niche industry such as Kiwifruit, finding quality European tractors that can cater for the specific requirements is no easy task. Fortunately, Deutz-Fahr NZ have answered the call from growers throughout the country to offer a tractor that is fit for purpose in the canopies of the Kiwifruit Orchards.

The Kiwi Pro uses Deutz-Fahr’s Ecoline range as the basis of this specialised product which is, in it’s own right already an exceptionally capable machine. Chosen for it’s powerful performance, the DF Ecoline consists of two Kiwi Pro models. The 5090 is a powerful 3-cylinder machine suitable for orchards that prioritise maneuverability while still offering a substantial maximum output of 88HP. The 4-cylinder 5105 offers a maximum output of 102HP with a 130mm longer wheelbase than the 3-cylinder model. Both tractors feature four-wheel braking as standard making the ecoline range a safe and dependable unit suited to forklift and haulage applications. The heavy transmission assembly offers up to 2,800kg lift capacity (with the Kiwi Pro 5105). The 45 l/min hydraulic pump combined with an independent steering pump ensures these tractors are as versatile as they are robust.

This tractor offers an excellent foundation for the Kiwi Pro model. The local modifications and engineering with input from industry experts and operators make the Kiwi Pro really stand out amongst the crowd.

Engine

Light and agile for maximum maneuverability without compromising output.

The choice is yours.

The Agroplus 5090 DF Ecoline Kiwi Pro is powered by the high-torque FARMotion 2.8l Stage 3B engine while the Kiwi Pro 5105 features the FARMotion 3.8l Stage 3B engine. The base engine block is tried and tested having been used in SDF products for a number of years, not only in the specialist sector, but also in the larger agricultural range. The engines are known for their broad power band where maximum torque is achieved at just 1600 RPM. The Kiwi Pro 5105 achieves a maximum power output of 105HP and a max torque value of 408Nm. Maximum power is developed at 2,200 RPM through the use of a turbo charger and intercooler.

Transmission

A transmission like this knows exactly what you need.

The transmission is a 30F/15R speed box with five gears, three ranges and an underdrive gear for increased speed accuracy when working with PTO driven equipment. The true four-wheel braking system provides superior stopping power whilst also giving the ability to disconnect the front brakes through an easily accessible valve located under the steering column. This can allow the operator to use side brakes for greater control or sharper turning on tight headlands.

Lift, Hydraulics and PTO

Developed and modified locally to specifically suit NZ kiwifruit industry requirements.

Hydraulic power is provided to the rear of the Kiwi Pro through a 45l/min dedicated hydraulic pump and the rear linkage provides a total lift of 2,600KG.

Three pairs of QRC’s and a single line free flow return cater to most rear mounted implements. A separate dedicated hydraulic pump provides oil for the hydraulic steering to keep the tractor working efficiently and maximise manoeuvrability in tight headland.

Driver's Platform

Comfortable and practical without compromise.

Deutz-Fahr’s colour coded operator platform makes it simple to decipher controls. Consistant orientation and layout make it a well suited machine for fleet applications with multiple operators. All drive and transmission controls are identified in orange whilst hydraulics are blue, hitch is green and PTO is yellow. The transmission levers in close proximity to the operator on the right hand side provide an intuitive layout.

All other controls are positioned in-line with the seat or on the dash to allow for quick and easy access on and off the operators platform. Also for optimum comfort not only has the floor-plate been lowered, the pedal configuration has been adjusted to make sure they’re in the most comfortable position for the driver.

The dashboard with a combination of digital and analogue dials provides clear information to the operator.
